Happy Birthday today, Kelly. Hope it's a good one! Hope the baseball draft selections help to make it a good one! Good luck to you guys.

Rachel's reading our blog and wrote and asked how the adventure is going. Good prompt for me to write again.

Our adventure is moving along. We only have two of the seven original machines left in the house dehumidifying and blowing and making noise. Those will probably be gone today. Yeah. A little quietness will be a welcome relief. The insurance adjuster is also coming today to view and decide.

While we're in a mess and since our hot water heater is fourteen years old and not up to code, we're having a new hot water heater put in Thursday. Then we'll have the carpet redone either Friday or Monday.

Saturday morning the Cox guys are coming to rewire all our stuff since apparently the water leak has messed up our brand new surround sound and TV equipment. Paul's wireless computer doesn't even work in the house any more. Just to check it, he went to a wi fi restaurant and booted up. It worked fine there, so it is our problem.

Then last, but not least, early next week we'll have to have the guys who installed our sound system come out and rewire it. Actually, the very last thing will be to clean up and put back everything in this house. What a challenge! Oops, I mean what an adventure! ;->

Last night Cherri had invited us to hear a sports nutritionist do a special presentation at their church, but we didn't think we were interested. However, to escape the noise in the house, we went. It was very good. Paul was especially captured by what the guy said. He was very articulate and made a lot of sense. We came away with a chart so we have a visual to help us remember the info.

Next Saturday Ralph Bullard's retirement celebration from CHA is occurring at First Southern BC of Del City, 6400 South Sooner Road, Del City, OK. The invitation reads 1:00 p.m. opportunity to greet Mr. and Mrs. Bullard, and 2:00 p.m. celebration program and presentation of gift. Fellowship to follow. We're going, and wanted you to know about it and encourage you to come if you can.

That catches you up on the few happenings out our way.

It was GOOD being with you guys last night even if the reason was your "escape from noise." And we thoroughly enjoyed the seminar as well. The thing I gained most from it was how much I am a binge eater and how that is TOTALLY keeping my weight on - no matter how much I exercise. Soooo - 4 to 5 meals a day for this chick now. Mike gained a thorough appreciation for the "natural medicines" all the good sources of vitamin C - he is not a big produce eater. I LOVED the balanced presentation and the fact this guy has worked with professional & college athletes for YEARS was quite interesting. Also, Chase sure enjoyed meeting both of you as well. Chase is Mike's youngest son (who looks ALOT like John Mark McMonigle - and with Troy, Mike's brother looking like Dal - its a bit freaky how intertwined the "genes" are here. We have ALOT of fun with that) and it is GREAT to see Chase & Ryan both seek Mike out to spend time with him.

Just a bit of an update on our kids - since we havent started our own blog yet. Dara is already enjoying summer and is working with her first hostess in her Premier business. Dara's goal is to have one show a month for her extra money. Ty & Dal are both enjoying dealing poker - Ty at Thunderbird Casino and Dal at Newcastle Casino. Ty is scheduling a time to talk with a counselor at OCCC and will most likely go for a business degree at OU after getting his first 2 years of classes out of the way at OCCC. He has sort of figured out that he would LOVE to own & run a poker room back in Texas and is just SURE that they will legalize it there in the next few years and is getting ready for that time by dealing and going to school. THANK YOU, DAD, for being there for him when you guys went out for supper and just encouraging him on his journey and his seeking. By not having all the answers and even admitting that YOU dont have all the answers for yourself, I've seen a freedom in TY to be okay with himself and his questioning nature!!! THANK YOU!!! Terri is teaching flute this summer and will be coming up the middle of July to stay with Dara as Mike & I have RALLY weekend together. I know this is a long response - and thank you for indulging me until we get our own blog set up. LOVE reading yours and Brett & Kelly's & Wades every morning!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLY!!! I'm soooo grateful to be in this accepting, loving, fun, growing family!!! Cherri
